Hi, Im new on the site and just wanted to get peoples opinions of the above car.
I am in the market for one and have come across a couple that I am looking for opinions on.
    The first is this: http://www.adverts.ie/car/honda/civic/honda-civic-1-8-vtec/1227984

Is milage this high a problem for this car? Its the only issue i'd be worried about.
Does the car have a timing belt or chain?

    Also this one:http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2941203

I like the idea of the panoramic sun roof and cruise control so Im favouring the first one.

Getting one of these will be a change from my current car, a honda S2000 but needs must :-(

The first one seems expensive given the mileage. Would you consider an Accord? This looks like alot of car for similar money:

I have bought one new in 2006 there plaqued with problems worst car i have owned watch out for the usual knocking coming from front and rear suspension your looking at changing top mounts drop links tie rod ends and shock absorbers on a 6 year old model if they have not been done . bump stops become detached unless they have been changed under warranty, rear springs had been put in upside down another warranty issue self releasing handbrake another warranty issue fuel cap not opening warranty issue. very weak paint some models from 06-08 had been sprayed with the rust protector coating still on the metal windscreen lose warranty issue i have been lucky in the fact i have not had any of the electric problems central locking some late 08 models suffered from oil starvation and all models have soft pads and discs replace with ebc pads and disc. go to civinfo.com for detailed information.

Dunno about previous to 09, but my 09 Diesel one hasn't given me an ounce of trouble.

your lucky some of the 2.2 diesels suffered from clutch slipping and failure from around 20k.
