On Tuesday night, the Indianapolis hurling club were offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase the sport of hurling at the superbowl village. For those unfamiliar with the statistics, the superbowl is the most watched television broadcast year after year and in the build up this week, tens of thousands of sports fans from all over the world are visiting the superbowl village in downtown Indianapolis on a daily basis.

The superbowl committee installed one artificial field on a closed street in the middle of the village to host sporting events all week and somehow the Indianapolis hurling club were give a prime time-slot, 7-11pm to do what they'd like with the space.

The Irish Examiner reported on the event, as did the online news site, The Irish Immigrant........but the GAA themselves seem to have missed out on a fantastic PR opportunity.
