I don't know where else to put this, so mods feel free to move if necessary. I'm having a major problem with my hotmail on both safari and firefox. I can check my inbox every time no problem however my problem comes when I try to compose a new email.
Every time for the last week once I try to compose a new email, I get the spinning beach ball and it closes itself. It's so frustrating, has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know how to solve the problem?. Cheers

Take a look in your console to see what errors the browsers are spitting out

Model of Mac, Version of OS, versions of Safari/Firefox would help :)

Have you done any updates recently ? Installed any antivirus software ? Is your version of Flash up to date ? Java installed ?

Try creating a new user account on the Mac and see if you get the same problems in there.

You say that the problem is with hotmail, can you browse other websites ok, is it only hotmail that crashes, can you get to gmail or facebook ok? are you using http or https?

Try clearing your browser cache as it might be pulling up an old cookie.
