Planning Permission Residency Clause

    Hi,
I have in the past four months had to change job which involved me moving from Co. Limerick to Co. Kildare permanently. While Living In Limerick in my home town I purchased some land 3 years ago and finally managed to get Planning permission on it. Now the land is in a Red Zone which is defined as an area of non local need and that are Structurally Weak. Now I had every intention in building this House but due to changing employment circumstances and the fact that my new employer intends to send me to the US on 12 months training I now feel that I won’t be able to build this house and logically can’t afford to keep this land. My problem is that while reading the Planning Permission last night I noticed that the council have put a 5 year Residency clause on my Planning. Does anyone know if in extreme circumstances this can be lifted? As the definition of the area in which I have the Planning is such that there normally isn’t a residency clause imposed.
Any input or personal experience in this area greatly accepted
    Thanks

you can apply for permission to remove that planning condition.

it sounds like you may have a good case for this application.
