Got called for an aptitude test about 2 weeks ago. Went okay and all, got a phone call the next day saying that I passed the aptitude and I'm going to be moving onto the next phase, interview...

No date or time was given, I was just told I was going to be called for an interview. No email received and I'm not sure should I call them back and ask them the latest or just sit tight? Really desperate for the job (or any job) and dont want to seem too pushy?

Been about 2 weeks now since last contact....

No harm in ringing them just to enquire. At least it shows your interested. Were these jobs advertised? didnt think there were any going in the banking sector.
    gd luck

No, none advertised. Friend handed my CV into HR and I got a call for an aptitude test a day after. Really sickening the way it's all to do with a contact within and all that. Be happy if I get the job but it's just so wrong the way it's done.

Anyway, I'll give them a buzz tomorrow morning.

Don't think like that. Best of luck with it.

It is not ridiculous - if a company uses an agency to find employees it costs a significant portion of year 1 salary.

If they advertise everyone applies regardless of whether the role is right for them and HR must sift through and respond to hundreds of applications.

Using existing staff who know the role and probably know people in similar roles or at least they believe are right for the role plus giving them a small finders fee works for everyone.

Hi I recently had an interview with permanent tsb for a customer service position and that was 4 weeks ago but haven't heard back anything since. They said to me they'd be in touch but I can't help but feel I didn't get the job. I was just wondering has anyone else gone for a job with them before and how long did it take to get a response back after your interview? I've tried emailing and calling but still nothing.
