Model Ship Display Case

    Does anyone know who in Ireland makes or supplies acrylic display cases, I am currently making a Revell model of the Aiva cruise ship 1.400 scale, its 25 inches long etc, got a display case last year from Marks models for another model 1.700 scale but they dont have any for my size model. Got a quote from a company in the UK who make them 70 pounds + VAT and 40 postage (very dear).

    Any help appreciated, I will post pics when its finished.

    As I got no replies I guess like me know one knew where to get a display case made for a large model in Ireland, after a lot of searching where prices in the UK were off the wall costing in the region of 150 pounds for an acrylic case I found a company in Galway who will make a display case from acrylic to your spec, I got a lovely one for my model for 46 Euro I will post when the ship is finished.

    It's a bit late for ya but I found a company in Germany who specialise in made to measure display cases . Www.sora shop.com there web site is bril and so easy to use and cheap as chips .iv been building model.s in all shapes and forms for 19 years now and use to make me own cases since I found these has made my hobby more easy.I'm currently building a 2 foot titanic and it's saved me a few euro.keep up the modeling and don't forget to post the pics .give them a look for your next project.
