Yes and yes. Driving up, no real point as their drop is very simple and hassle free and as regular as a fat man in a chipper.

They drop in the carpark of the pub on the airport roundabout afaik. Name escapes me right now.

They stop at The Coachmans and work their way onward into Dublin. It's very easy. You arrive up to the van and get your part. You then walk away with said part and bring it somewhere to fit it.

As for driving up. Big place generally busy and not worth the effort unless you live near by and or the collection doesn't suit.

Is the info gone from their site where they used to have a list of all the cars they were breaking? Or am I just missing it somewhere?

I know it's a quite subjective question but are Traynor's regarded as being quite reasonable in regards to parts?

I need to get a used car door from them.

    Cheers.

I'm Dublin city based if I ordered a part or parts tomorrow when would they deliver and is it still to the airport pub mentioned above I'd meet them?

Traynors deliver to Dublin on Tuesdays (Wednesdays after a bank holiday) and Fridays. Order before 3pm the previous day. Yellow van or rigid truck.

    Drop\Collection points:
Coachmans Inn in Clonshaugh around 10am.
    Rathmines around 11am.
Green Isle Hotel Clondalkin around 12noon.
I think they head down the country then.

Pay the driver in sterling or euro equivalent which they will tell you on the phone. Check approx rate on www.xe.com
They are very well priced compared to the rip off merchants down south - I've rang them all at some stage.
Phone 048-38891242 (no need for international dial code 0044).

Has used them many times in the past, thing is with Traynors is you have to be careful with what they are giving you as they have a bit of a reputation of knowing that a part isnt working right them you return it and they dont refund you if they havent another part and only give a credit note, so they have your money anyway and you still have no part, then you need to make the trip to them regardless...so buyer be very aware with these guys is my advise

Even the local southern scrappers only give credit on a refund. You pay cash - you won't get cash back - only replacement part or credit.
Like everything - shop around and then decide.

Not all the scrappers use credit notes, I bought parts from Summerhill Spares in Coolock recently, the part was the wrong one, they refunded cash, no problem at all.

Used Traynors a few times - Been very happy with them and their friendly service.

Give them a ring to check availability with exact details of the car and they'll tell you if they have it or not.
They deliver throughout the country - you can confirm time and venue with them then :)

I would use them cos its local to my hometown. You can get parts elsewhere cheaper but their huge stock means you save a few hours. They can tell you over the phone what they have in stock and usually give you a price too.

    +1

Good reliable resource. Not the cheapest, but very useful if you own a car a little more exotic than a Mondeo or a Corolla :)
