Hi, was out for a rabbit for tomorrows dinner earlier. Had a bit of success, just shot one anyway. It crawling with fleas. I know they wont do any harm etc etc... but i dont like bringing them into the house... or anywhere used for skinning etc. Anyone tried anything with any sucess? I was thinking of smoking them over a wood fire in a half barrel or something... anything a this stage haha..!

I usually gut and skin the flea ones on the spot. Only takes a second and you don't get fleas on a skinless bunny.

Yea getting them in daylight. Out the field out the back. My own managed herd lol. Theyre only out a now and again. The one i shot was a doe. Think she was recently pregnant aswel. gettin shootin before the kits are born.

On the flea note... I think i will start cutting the ears off the flea ones aswel if theres a lot on the ears.

Shot 3 today myself, one in particular was very bad with fleas. I usually skin them in the field it only takes 2 seconds. Then I put them into the game bag and give them a wash when I get home. Problem sorted !!!
