Has anyone recently applied for this scheme and already had their job facilitator appointment to present your business plan?

I'm just wondering if you'd share your experience. How difficult/in depth is the process? Is there any particular approach you advise? What would you do differently if you were to do it again?

    Any info would be appreciated.

I have looked into this aswell. I would advise you to to a Start your own Business course on FAS. Very helpful. As they will give you loads of info on how to fill in a business plan. The jobs facilitator should help aswell :)

This is really about putting together the type/format of the business plan that the Jobs Facilitator expects/wants to see.
Remember what you or anyone else thinks of it is not relevant to being accepted to the scheme.
I contacted someone from the local Leader Partnership who had been through the process before with a few others and the same facilitator.
He gave me a business plan template - I followed it to the letter and there were no problems.

http://www.teagasc.ie/ruraldev/startingyourownbusiness/template.asp has some business plans templates and hints on filling them out.
But if you approach your local partnership or facilitator they will help you with all this.

Sorry, it was a few years ago and believe it or not I didn't keep a copy.
They just gave me a photocopied paper copy for me to fill in by hand.

From what I can remember it was a pretty rubbish template anyway and what I put in was pure fantasy - but it got me accepted.
