Has anyone been to Rome recently? Any good recommendations of Hotels? Things to do? What is a must see? Might be going there for a few days during Spring time. Places to go and to avoid? Is it very expensive there, what is the food and restaurants and shopping like there? Is the city easy to get around on foot/public transport and easy to find your way around it?

Any advice be greatly appreciated thanks.

Deko Rome is a fantastic hotel.

Most of the best sites/sights are close together, best way to see Rome is on foot.

But a Michlin walking guide (Pocket Size) or you will walk past all kinds of interesting stuff.

Ya I've looked at those threads just that there have been very mixed reviews online on tripadvisor, booking and a few others. So just trying to pick the right hotel.

Anyone that might have been to Rome recently might know of decent hotel for a group of three people?

    Thanks Irish_Elect_Eng and Ardennes1944

Hotel Cinquantatre is a pleasant little hotel at Barberini (near the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain) that has triples.
