2000 Toyota (5 door) VVTI fog light problem

Folks, I have a 2000 1.4 VVTI Corolla 5 door and the rear fog light has been coming on when I switch on headlights :eek:. It is also hard to switch off the fog light but usually it will after prodding it a few times. Has anyone come across this problem before? I have ordered a new fog light switch...was this a good idea or…

Folks,

Yeah good idea, it's the switch that is at fault very common on the lift back corolla, but a pricey switch for a car of that year IMO think they are near a €100 mark

Thanks lads. The price, I have been told, is €44 + vat. I hope to get it on Friday and fit sat. I will let you know if I have wasted my money or not:D
