Can anyone tell me what program I can use to take the audio that is coming out of my speakers - essentially from an online radio station. There is a clip I want to record and keep - I tried Audacity but it did not work - I assume I need a program that can find the audio source and then record it. Anyone any suggestions of what program can do this?

    RadioSure.

You may need to add the station to the list and record it on that.

Also I think vlc is able to do this too.

Thanks - gave that a go but don't think it will do what I want. I'm actually trying to record a show from RTE pulse that was on last week - they have the treaming player that keeps all the shows from the last month. I want to be able to play the recporded show, and have a piece of software listen to what is coming out of the soundcard/speakers - and record that

Anyone any ideas how I can do that?
    Thanks!

Tried Audacity and also Mp3myMp3 last night. No idea why but nothing I do can get the meter bouncing from the audio source. Maybe its my soundcard?

If you're on a Mac, Audio Hijack Pro does the job. I use it all the time
