redundancy rate query

    Hello,

I am about to be made redundant by my employer of ten years, i have been told that i will be given statutory redundancy i.e 2 weeks per year of service capped at 600 euro per week.

Back in 2006 my company had a round of redundancies where the employees were given significantly more than the statutory rate (3 weeks full pay, per year of service).

My question is; considering that the company is continuing to trade, is it obliged to match the rate given in the original round of redundancies?
