Hi I'm having a bit of trouble with how to approach the poetry in English. I was looking through the poetry questions in the past papers and their all so different. I'm not sure how many poems or which poems to learn. Id appreciate it if anyone could give me any tips. Thanks in advance :)

We're doing 8 poems in total and I'm going learning five. A Heaney poem is always good! Also 1 War & 1 Love poem. And I'm also doing a poem that is close to me just in case a sentimental question comes up. Also taking a poem thats good to talk about just in case.

    The Poems I'm doing are:
Mid-Term Break by Seamus Heaney **
Early Purges by Seamus Heaney **
Sonnet 20 by William Shakespeare **
    Tich Miller by Wendy Cooper
    Mirror by Sylvia Plath
Going Home to Mayo, Winter 1949 by Paul Durcan **
The Helicopter Pilot by Bill Janes **
The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

** One of my Five! :D
