Just wondering if anyone knows what kind of plug adapter I would need over there? Also any suggestions on what to see/do over there would be nice to. Thanks.

A standard European Schuko adaptor should be the trick.

Definitely go to one of the Thermal Baths and the Museum of Terror was really interesting also. There is actually lots to see in Budapest and it's a lovely city to just stroll round. Enjoy.
