Not on mine either. However, I'm not logged in on my iPhone.

It's the web browser, on touch.boards.ie

You can see it on a desktop browser here: http://touch.boards.ie/forum/374

Much cleaner than m.boards here: http://m.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=374

I'm seeing the same problem on the same phone. It is not an app it is the web browser.

It is not an app or the phone or the browsers fault...

The titles show up on m.boards.ie but not on touch.boards.ie

I just used Safari to search for M Boards.ie and it is indeed as shown with the [Real-Time ...] tags in blue on yellow.

It's own thread, now, IMHO this is progress.

It seems that the browser will use different Board servers, touch or M

What I see is no tag on touch but they are on m.

My browsers, Safari and Opera will open the touch by default apparently and a search for m boards does not show a result, but will then open anyway.

As Paul eluded to in his above post it was clogging up the chat thread and I didn't expect there to be many having issues but there were so I decided to open a thread to deal with it and move all the posts in here .

The MODS must be working overtime but your efforts are greatly appreciated. The forum has returned to its former glory IMHO. Loving the tags and the layout.

why the tags? can they be turned off?
and will they change automatically when the thread title is changed ;)

There prefixes so they dont change , thread titles are easily changed

There so people know the orientation of the thread, IE:

Chat = A general chat thread about the posted subject

Model/Technical Discussion Only= A thread with a bit more meat on the bones and getting into the nitty gritty of the charts , basically a technical discussion with out any general chat.

The others are pretty much self explanatory

Also for the folks using the touch.boards.ie the issue is on all forums so it has been added to the list of things to be fixed .

I dont know when this will be ,

I find the full website works perfect on the iPhone, I dont know what its like for other handsets

    Use M.boards.ie instead of TOUCH.boards.ie

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 117 ✭✭srocliffe

There may be a way of overriding it, but on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) when I go to www.boards.ie, it automatically redirects to touch.boards.ie.

Not a big issue anyway, doesn't bother me whether I see these tags or not, but just so you know that using touch.boards.ie is an automatic thing that the phone browser does, rather than something that people are choosing.

m.boards.ie doesn't load at all on my phone, just times out.

The prefixes don't appear in the "My Forums" page either.

Can people stop changing thread names to random illogical titles, it makes it looks like the thread is gone! Theres enough hassle with the android reader not showing extended thread titles for some reason

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

I don't want to start a new thread and sorry for hijacking this one, but is there any chance that the number of stickies can be cut down? Theres no need for 11 threads to be stuck and its horrible trying to look at the forum on the mobile.
