Barcelona Trains

Me and a mate are going over to visit a few friends, who are going over to work in Santa Susana, for a week at easter. I've been trying to check the train times to see if we'll be ok getting to/from Barcelona at night but can't find anything on it. Anyone able to tell me if the trains run through the night? We'd be staying with them in Santa Susana which I know is probably not ideal.

Sorry if it's been asked before.

For train times all over Europe the German website is the best to use as it has a handy english translation

    www.bahn.de

I've just checked that and can't find a station for Santa Susana, have you got the spelling right or is there a different name for the station?

Strangely, the usually brilliant DBahn site doesn't show Santa Susanna. It is on the Renfe site and my quick search shows trains about every half hour which would be typical of the excellent spanish train system. Approx 75 min journey along the R1 coast line - nice. Should be dead cheap too. Looks like zone 5 which looks like €4.30 one way. (Offers and routes link from URL below, then Fares > Barcelona suburban railway services, then General, then Only suburban railway

    Timetable search page: http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/cercanias/barcelona/index.html

So they start at bout 6 in the morning and go till 22.00. Should that suit for nights out over there? What time would places be finished up at?

Things start late in Barcelona so you might be better off getting the last train up and the first train "home".

As long as its a Friday or Saturday night. Its shockingly quieter on Sundays

Just remember to note the end destination of your train too, as if you're looking for your platform, your stop mightn't be listed.
