Now bear in mind that Im not the most computer savvy person, before ye give me some advice :D

i have a Mac and use a wireless Huawei modem from Three, just recently my Mac wont connect wirelessly to the modem, only if it is connected through the USB to the laptop, I have no problem at work it connects automatically wirelessly without problem but since Sunday evening no joy with the modem at home, it can recognise the network though airport, but it keeps asking for the password and when I enter it says 'connection timed out' I have tried reseting the modem and also going through the settings/join other networks, like I said it recognises it just wont connect. Any ideas?

Yes that was the first thing I tried

Try this. Clck on newtwork connections in system pref then hit airport in left hand side. Find the network you're having the trouble with and click the minus sign down the bottom left. Then try to connect as normal.

Usually when I get 'network timed out' its because i'm too far away from the router...

Anyway, do other devices connect with the router OK?

The Big Gig, tried this, still didn't work, and tayor connor, the modem is right beside me, my partner can use it no problem, its obviously an issue with the mac but I can't figure it out I've gone through network diagnostics, assist me everything I can think of, but like I said it can recognise the network but just wont connect unless the usb is in. I cant figure out how it suddenly just stops connecting through the airport but connects fine to other wireless networks

The next thing I'd try is changing or even turning off encryption on the modem. Just to rule it out.

    How do I do that?

Usually gives to an ip address somewhere on the router itself. Not familiar with meteor ones but maybe something like 192.168.1.1
Type this in to browser while connected to modem and enter a username and password. This will bring up the routers control panel where you can disable the wireless security. Bear in mind that this isn't safe for your network.

To be honest Id be a bit reluctant to do this, I dont really want any further problems, thanks though

There are known issues with the WPA algorithim, you may try updating to WPA2. Or vice versa. This way you won't compromise your network.
