Runaway firing

    Hello,
I bought a GR15 raider by G&G before christmas, and it has been having a minor issue with continuous firing, when my finger is not on the trigger. This was only minor for the last while, maybe a 2-3 round burst. But lastnight while using it in semi ( quite quickly) it decided to go full auto and empty around 150-200 rounds, even when the gun was flicked to safety and mag out this continued. I'm just wondering what is the cause and fix for this? I've been told it's quite common on G&G but I'd much rather sort it out.
    Thanks in advance,
    stephen

That would be the spring that resets the trigger connector, it's a part in the gearbox. You could have it repaired or have a look yourself, it could be debris preventing it resetting.

    Is it a Hard fix?

Just bring it back to where you bought it.

Unfortunatly the gun is out of the 1 month guarantee, and the retailer is in dublin, so shipping etc and then repairs would cost twice as much as sending to my local tech, but before i send to local tech, I'd like to know if I could fix it, I always like to try things before letting someone else fix something

It is probably that the trigger contact return spring has either broken or come away from the moving trigger contact block and the contact block is wedged between the fixed contacts causing the gun to keep firing

It is a 5 min job to reattach the spring once the gearbox is apart but the Raider gearbox is not the easiest gearbox to separate due to the addition of a small cylinder on top of the gearbox shell which operates the Blow Back
Unless you have opened a gearbox before then I think that the Raider gearbox is not the place to start

I would advise getting it to proper airsoft Tech or Airsoft Retailer

bring it back to the retailer, i know you said that it's out of warranty but most will charge you no or a small fee if you tell them you got it off them
