    yes, its yet another thread on Anglo.. I have one, simple and straight-forward question. Can anyone explain why, in their opinion, the investigation into Anglo is taking such an enormous length of time? I was just reading this article.

    At a guess the bankers and gov are all interlinked they all have dirt on each other...so the longer this goes then the longer the golden circle have to share out their assets to family members

    The complexity of the situation has to be a consideration. After all the trawl through the books alone (the scale of the transactions) will require a team of forensic accountants. If it was as open and shut as the media think they'd all be in jail long ago.

    Remember it took 3 years or more for those responsible for the debacles in Enron, MCI Worldcom & Tyco to be brought to trial.
