looking for advice on my handicap.
I'm planning to move to england and currently i'm a memeber of a club in clare (originally from there) but based in dublin. I pay roughly 200 quid a year for my distance membership and play when ever home.
This club keeps my handicap and i play the occasional comp in dublin.
I plan to move to england in the next few months and wonder is it worth my while maintaining my membership&handicap in ireland.
I suppose i'd plan to get back to clare from england 5/6 times a year.
    any advice appreciated!

Official handicaps in England qualify you to play competitions in Ireland.
This is because the Council of National Golf Unions Limited (CONGU) is the authorising body for golf handicaps for both Great Britain and Ireland.
Best of luck with whatever you decide.:)

    Cheers for that.
does it work the other way as well, maintaining a handicap in ireland let you enter comps in england.

Dont forget that UK handicap will only let you enter open comps not comps run by your club at home.
And yes you can enter comps in England in similar way but dont expect similar prizes!!
