Depends on what you call a bargain I suppose. Based on 5 3-piece suits, I got the following prices over the last couple of weeks:
    • AB Formal Wear, Swords - €110 per suit
    • Dublin Formal Wear, Lucan - €125 (less 10% discount if I booked within a couple of weeks)
    • CT2, Blanchardstown - €135 (less €100 discount if I booked within a couple of weeks)
    • Tangos, Temple Bar -€130 (less 10% discount if I booked within a couple of weeks)
    • Aston, Temple Bar - €120

So they're all pretty much around the same price. I went with Tangos in the end, mainly because of the service and it's a bit more convenient than my second choice, AB. The only place I really wouldn't have been happy hiring from was CT2, the suits there were pretty poor imo.

    Hope that helps. :)

Apparently blacktie are cheapest but haven't heard good things about them. My friend booked them at a recent wedding show for 75 a suit i think.

I went with lucan formal wear, i would recommend them, the lads are sound down there.

Avoid Black Tie like the plague. They're grand if you're going to your debs and don't know any better, but it really is a case of getting what you pay for.

Family members got tuxes in Aston for my wedding, worked out well for what they got. AVOID Black Tie, nothing but bad experiances from them.

Id second that I havent heard anything but bad things about Blacktie.

As for the second post. I dont think any of those prices are what you would call a "bargain" there are lots of reputable menswear shops renting wedding suits out for €100

Judging from the exhibitors in the RDS on Sunday, €100 per suit seems to be very much the norm alright!

At that price tbh, it's so tempting to just buy some suits since, while it would probably cost your twice as much you'd at least have something to show for the expense.

If its a standard size tux, you won't go far wrong with Marks and Spencer. I've known a few guys get kitted out in there for not much more than €100, then they have the basic tux ready to go for any formal occasion.

I was quoted €600 for 8 suits in Black Tie last week. The best price Dublin Formal Wear in Lucan could give me for 8 suits was €650.

Aston's in Temple Bar was ridiculous. €135 per suit was the price they quoted us earlier this week and no discounts for 8 suits.

I'm sure there are, they were just the prices I was quoted in the places I went to.

Trust me, you'll kick yourself for not spending the extra 50 quid if you go with Black Tie.

what type of suits have you got in mind? are they all for adults? page boys can be expensive depending on where you go or if you have any. styles can effect the price

Anyone know of reasonable suit hire prices for a wedding? Looking for suits, not tuxedos. Is there anywhere that would have 3 pce suits fro under €100?

I know this isn't what you asked but I'm telling everyone!
I was in River Island last week and they had really nice slim fit 3 piece suits (possibly with shirt) for €130.

Can I just say to be so, so careful? When we got married, we got the suits from a hire place. They looked fine when we fitted them - nothing like the overworn, threadbare, shiny suits we got.

Ask to see the suits they actually give out rather than the display ones. If I'd known...

Picked up a few 2pce suits for my groomsmen on the M&S sale for less than €100 each, had to use the UK site for my sizes though.
Better than paying €110 for a 5 year old natty, bobbly rental
