Well folks, got a wildfire s recently and the only scaldy thing with it is the small memory on it so i bought a 16gb memory card for it but the problem starts there... i cant move most of the apps ive downloaded from the app store onto the sd card... is there any way of moving them all onto it?? I cant update half of the updates cos theres not enough memory on the phone...

    Thanks

Only apps that offer the function to move to sd card can be moved, some aren't suitable to be moved.

A drawback of lower end devices I'm afraid but you can root and use an app called apps2sd if you want to.

I have the same problem with my Wildfire. I've moved all the apps I can to my 32BG SD card, but can't even update those apps, as they seem to use phone memory.

HTC advise clearing cache and data, which I've done twice over the last few months, although be warned; clearing data with lose your bookmarks and all log-ins for apps.

Below are some hints HTC emailed me, which some people might find helpful:

    Clearing cache and data:
-From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
    -Tap Settings.
    -Tap Applications.
    -Tap Manage Applications.
-Tap All (if using Android 2.2 upwards).
-Scroll down and tap the required application.
-Tap Clear Data and Clear Cache if available.
    -Press Home.

    Deleting old Messages:
-From the Home screen, tap the Launcher.
    -Scroll down and tap Messages.
    -Tap Menu.
    -Tap Delete.
    -Select the required messages.
    -Tap Delete.

Turning Facebook for HTC Sense Contact Sync off:

-From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
    -Tap Settings.
    -Tap Accounts & sync.
    -Tap Facebook for HTC Sense.
-Tap Contacts to disable contacts sync.

It's also worth installing this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.acc.free&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5hMHNvZnQuZ3Bob25lLmFjYy5mcmVlIl0. (it goes straight to the SD card) as it can clean cache/data/etc in one tap. You just select what you want it to clean.

    good advice on the wildfire.
loved that wee phone but just got the HTC EVO 3d for 200 sterling at asda and its a whole new experience.
cant use the wildfire at all now , id advise getting the evo for 200 and trying to sell wildfire for 100.
    you wont regret it

I saw something about that here http://android.appstorm.net/how-to/clear-space-without-rooting/, but am a bit nervous about trying it. I only came on here incase anyone else had done it.....:)

Search the forum here for Wildfire S S-off and you should be good to go...

You need an unlocked bootloader (obtained by using an XTC clip on phone) costs 20 quid in Chinese shop on parnell st opposite fibbers

Then you can hit Xda for the rest....
