    Hey all,

I'm looking for a new screen for a PC i'm building and I'd love some advice and/or recommendations.

Basically, I want a large, high resolution display for music production and also gaming. I've been looking at 27inch Samsung syncmasters and LGs because I thought they were generally good but then I read some dodgy things about the ones I was looking at. (specifically, the samsung S27A350H and the LG E2750V-PN)

(Btw, I'd prefer if it was available on pixmania-pro since I can get things VAT free there)

I'd like to spend around 250, but if anyone has any reasons why that's too low for a decent 27 inch then I'm open to suggestions.

I do want to stick to a 27 inch because I want the size, and I'm coming from an iMac so I've kinda grown accustomed to the picture quality! (although I'm not willing to spend a grand on a thunderbolt display!!)

Look forward to hearing back from yiz!

overclockers.co.uk (think thats what the site is) dabs.ie and komplett.ie have good deals =) also i know someone who bought a samsung one off one of those sites and it class =) just make sure to double check the connections that are on it and that you will have enough =)

Personally I wouldnt go any higher than 24", might be better when sitting back a bit watching movies but you have to remember that a 20" and 30" HD screen have the same number of pixels, so when you're up close enough perceived sharpness decreases. IMO go big and go IPS (Expensive) or dont bother.

@Evelynmc: Thank's for the suggestions! Think I'll probably end up sticking with pixmania-pro though cause it's cheaper for me!

@ED E: I get what you're saying! Although I'm not too familiar with IPS etc. I might have to make the mistake myself and just get the 27 inch LED... I've never been seriously picky though when it comes to picture quality though so hopefully it won't bother me!
