Lisbon Hotels?

Heading to lisbon in march. Anyone any suggestions of a good hotel? Would be great to be near the action, but have heard that some parts of the city centre are a bit of a kip and you can be hassled (could be wrong!), so would like to avoid that! Thanks in advance

I rented an apartment in the Alfama district, beside the castle. Short walk to all the nightlife. Small but cheap.
