    Hi,

I had to take down my existing 80cm dish while some work was going on around the house. I'm now thinking of putting up a wavefrontier instead. To start with getting 13/19/28. And perhaps later on adding a few more, maybe the 1w.

Just wondering if starting with 13/19/28, do you tune in 19 first and then add the rest around it ? Once you have those 3 set, is it easy enough to add more ?

I've seen people mention it requires a 60mm pole and also to get extra lnb holders.

Just wondering if its worth the extra work, will tuning in the sats be easier?

A big thread on the use and set up of the T90 here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056457587
long story short, great dish, excellent performance with the caveats that it is heavy, a wind trap and initial setup is tricky ;)

As to the 60mm pole yes, put users here (Rima and greenman) have used standard heavy brackets with spacer material around the pole to make up the distance.

I considered one myself for a long while but I went with a TD88 myself which currently has 7 LNBs on it :) and a spread of 4.8e>28.2e

But I may switch to one yet and try to get a spread of 42e-1w or 39e-5w, but for the spread your considering unless you are looking to add a lot more or widen your spread a 1mtr dish will do the job.

Take a look at the thread I linked though plenty of info there.

thanks, I had been through your thread previously and did find some good info. I reckon where the T90 will be at the back of the house it will be fairly well sheltered from the wind.

I suppose my biggest concern, if I just set it up initally for 13/19/28 is a bit of an overkill. I would like to add more sats later for tinkering with it. So would hope that once you have 19' put in as good as it possibly can that alligning other sats later would be a lot easier over using a standard 80cm or 110cm dish.

At the end of this tread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056485772&page=3 there is a helpful guide on how to setup a t90 if you do get one. I got a relatively cheap sat tuner here, http://cdtronix.com/sathero-sh-200-pocket-satellite-finder-dvb-s2-mpeg4 and as in the post i set up 19e as the center lnb then one of the outer ones, then 28e 13e and 9e could be got by fine tuning the lnb. I got my 60mm bar in local ag supply and welded a plate to the bottom. It's a great system imo. the kits can be got here http://www.hm-sat-shop.de/en/antennen-wavefrontier/wave-toroidal-t90-p-bundle.html
    or here http://www.satshop24.de/satshop24_s/einsteigerset_wavefrontier_t90_2_generat,pd0!0,,Bund_4_1.html

by the way this the only satellite dish i have ever put up. mines about 1.5meters off the ground.

Did you wall mount or ground mount the dish ?

I ground mounted it, but i may need in the future put a brace back to the wall to be 100% certain that there is no movement. but so far so good.

Thanks ,that seems to be the common consensus, its too heavy to wall mount .

On such holder I had T90 for more than a year. It is screwed to wall through 10cm foam insulation. Actually I had plans to have 2 T90s to be mounted on this holder. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I do not look for another T90 anymore.
With all that I would like to say that wall mounting of T90 is more than possible, but, of course, mounting should be solid.
Edit: Adding picture how it looked like on the wall.
