    What OS are you running?

Use a partition manager to delete the second partition and then extend the first partition to use the whole disc.

Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management.

Locate the External Drive select the second partition then under Actions - All Tasks delete it. Select the first partition and under Actions All Tasks extend it to use all the free space.

Be absolutely sure you select the external drive and not the drive with the OS on it.
