Hi I was wondering if anyone knew of any shops/sites where I could get bridesmaids dresses for under €100. I'm on a pretty tight budget and noticed that bridal shops sell them for around the 300 mark which is crazy. Any help is appreciated. :D

Ebay is great but if you want three dresses that are the same the internet can be great more so UK online clothing stores but you're dealing with getting your bridesmaids sizes right, alterations can be made!

Do you have an idea of the colour scheme op?
I would say expand you idea of what a bridesmaid dress is, if you only want a gown that is made from a silk like material that is fitted and fancy it will be really difficult to find them under a 100.

Going for a empire line evening dress would be a good way to look online and avoid zips especially at the side, if its empire it nips in at the waist and will be flowy so will fit around the rest of the bridesmaid.

If youre buying online make sure you know what the material is, avoid clingy materials.

    good luck

I got mine from Dresselicious on Ebay. They're based in Wexford I think: these are the ones I got: €59.99 each and they were something like €12 to get altered (lengths taken up nipped in at the waist etc: every dress is the same!!). I ordered one first: they take them back if you don't like them too.

I got these: in blue ( you can choose from lots of different colours)

They were actually only €80 when I got them, was charges about €35 for customs, 2 had to be altered, but not much.

The Village in Kildare. There's quite a few shops who should stock something you like.

Try Debenhams. They're always having sales, so you should be able to pick up something nice. My friend got her BM dresses from there half price - from E150 to E75.

Second for dressilicious on eBay. Lovely to deal with, particularly when my scumbag neighbour at the time claimed to be me, signed for and kept the dress!!

Hi Acoshla, I saw a fab dress on this website too and would love to get it. My BMs are worried about online sizing too. Two are about size 16/18, the other is a smaller size. Could you let me know if you have heard any good reports? Also, how did you find them and have you received the dresses yet?Did you put in exact measurements for your BMs or just choose a particular size?

Thanks a lot! It'd be great to save some money this way.

    :)

Err on the large side I would say, easier to take in than let out! I would email the site and ask if they've had feedback on sizes on that particular dress. If your bridesmaids are similar sizes and you have the time order one at a time (I did) then you can get them to try them in before ordering the next one.
Also remember you have the right to return online goods within 7 days for any reason. However it doesn't apply if it's a custom made order

I haven't ordered from there yet but I would go for custom made dresses to fit their sizes, I have ordered dresses online before for myself like that, including my wedding dress which I'm waiting on. But yeah aim slightly bigger and then they can be taken in, maybe up one size if you're unsure.

I have heard good reports about dresses from there though.

    Hi Vicky

What colour have you in mind, I have 2 beautiful Claret Red dresses with Shawls.....

I got mine in H&M. Two different styles but the same colour and material. I have 4 'maids.

We had been looking in bridal shops and debenhams etc, but found they were all very stiff uncomfortable material.

All the girls love their dresses and we even bought a spare as one of them is hoping to be carrying a bump come the time.

I dont believe you should feel the need to buy from bridesmaid specific ranges or shops as you can find beautiful dresses in lots of shops.

One thing I would do is as around in your local charity shops do they get any deliveries from any posh shops were you live.

My mum got our 3 bridesmaids and an extra one for €40!!!! Bargain me thinks!

Got mine from dressilicious too, lovely dresses that the girls will wear again. The bridal outlet in baldoyle has a good range of bridesmaid dresses on sale right now too.

    www.rkbridal.com

Goy my dresses from here, worked out at €134 each including customs which was great, considering they were €250 each in the shops here!

I went bridesmaid shopping with my friends for my friends wedding, We all tried on the bridesmaid dresses the particular brand was called Forever Yours. I am getting married abroad myself in 8 weeks and didn't want a big fussy dress so one of the dresses that I tried on was exactly what I wanted for a wedding dress. It's so plain and simple yet beautiful. So I went online and checked out every site and found that http://www.bridaldreamdress.com/ so I ordered the dress, I think I paid $15 extra to get it to come within 6 weeks. I was a little nervous but my dress came in 2 weeks absolutey perfect and exactly like in the shop. It was made in China so wasn't made by the brand Forever Yours but there wasn't one difference bar the price!!! I was very impressed by it because you can give your exact size and get it made to fit perfectly which I did but they sewed it up and on close examination I can see they have left about an inch on both sides in case you need to get it altered. The size's aren't very generous but because you can give them your exact measurements that shouldn't be a problem. When we were in the shop the lady told us that dresses would all be €250 each but I paid €98 for mine including paying extra to get it shipped quicker. The lady in shop said I could have got mine within 6 weeks but I think she said I'd have had to pay €40 extra. I'm so so pleased with it. The material is amazing. I am so pleased with it.

the sis has ordered hers from light in the box because she doesnt have a lot of money and woudnt be buying one if it hadnt been for the family paying up.

think she had originaly gotten a cheap one from BHS-wasnt a traditional type wedding dress or anything, but she brought that back when she found out about the money.

-if are really stuck for costs, why not just rent a wedding dress, are only going to need it once so its a bit of a waste to buy unless its a super cheap one.

I actually got a pair of flats from Milanoo.com. Their sizing is rather on the small side, but I returned the small shoes and got a full refund, including the postage. I then ordered a bigger size. I was dubious of getting my money back, but I was impressed when they did refund everything. so I was happy with their service!

oh and I got my Dessy bridesmaid dresses at Wedding World in Galway, it was 160 euro, with a 4 month processing time. I asked about the same dress in Mozarina Bridal in Claregalway and they said it was 220!
So shop around, one store may say it's 300 for the dress you want, but it may be less at another....

I have been looking at www.bridaldreamdress.com aswell. Some gorgeous dresses there at great prices. Wondering if anyone else has bought dresses from here? whats the sizing like and the quality? Could do with a little more feedback on it beofre I go ahead with it. A bit wary of buying online.

    Hi there,

I'd also like to know more about www.bridaldreamdress.com. Is it the real dress or an imitation that you get? Found one I love and it's a quarter of the price that I was quoted here!

    Thanks
