Might sound like a dumb question but is it safe to leave a bike locked in UCD overnight with a Kryptonite lock?

Depends on where in UCD. Personally I wouldn't leave anything anywhere overnight. Front of the library or some other high traffic area and you might get away with it.

I clicked this hoping for a great shtory on a bicycle theft. I say give it a shot and if it does get stolen, post the shtory here as I would be very interested.

If you are going to do it, lock with 2 locks, and not to one of those railings that are not actually tied down to anything. UCD students will lift anything not properly secured and left there long enough.

Services have had their number reduced recently, so security is more slack technically but the guys who are there seem to be doing a better job with less numbers (they stopped me leaving HS to check I hadn't stolen my own bike, which is fair because I look dodgy at the best of times).
