3 shot lead on 18, laid up with his 2nd then spun his 3rd shot back into the water.
Hit his 5th on the green and 3 putted.
Have to feel sorry for the fella.

Feel really bad for the guy, hope he gets over it soon.

Funny, if a 15 handicapper did that he'd be called a handicap cheat in some clubs, eh ? :D:D
    (tongue in cheek)

NO WAY! I turned over after he played the 17th, golf is brutal

    I did too !!
Saw it on the sports news this morning, raging I missed it, must have been like car crash tv.
Still, hard not to feel really sorry for him, he must be devasteted. Hope his circle of family/friends put it in perspective for him.

Not being wise after the fact, but as he strolled down the fairway on 18, his caddy was talking into the camera, saying hello to folks at home (wife, kids or whatever), "Hi guys, blah blah blah, miss you, love you..." - big silly grin on his face. I was thinking 'stranger things have happened buddy, shut your mouth for a few minutes'...

Golf is a funny old game - just shows, the caddy was switched off as if it was already won. Maybe his player was too.

Yeah i remember one of the CBS crew asking Faldo what was going through his head as he walked down the 18th fairway for his first "W".
They were just remarking that it was basically a nice stress free way for Stanley to win his first tournament by having a 3 shot lead on 18. Gotta love this game.

He was 1.01 after his drive on the 18th. Think of the money lost on that fella..

Glad it wasn't me with a few quid on him..

well i was on him from the start,€5 e/w @80/1,i actually turned it off to let the wife watch the tele, then i stuck pgatour on the pc on and this 'playoff' icon was up and i was like 'na,no chance...............oh schit'

The first quote is from last weeks tourney, the second was from this weeks, price went out to 80/1 as he missed the cut in the first one
(all posted in the gambling forum btw)

"Also,i like the way Kyle Stanley is progressing, think he'll win a tourney this year,e/w 6 places @50/1 looks ok to me."

    Marco dawson @300/1
    Bill Lunde @200/1All 6 places e/w

    Late addition Stanley@80/1

Amazing stuff, comes back a week later with a chance to win after starting final round 8 behind. Great stuff Kyle Stanley :)
Crane needs to birdie last to tie him.

Levin looks like joining an elite group to lose a 6 shot 3 round lead on PGA tour. Now 2 behind with 2 to play.

Its a great story.....although the guy will be cursed if Levin eagles the last!

Pure Class from Kyle Stanley. Was nervous for him standing over that last putt though...

Great bounce-back-ability. Almost overdid it with his birdie put on 18th, sent it 5ft past but he holed the par putt.
