Hotel in Belfast

    Hi,

My boyfriend and I are thinking of going to Belfast in April for a weekend, Friday to Sunday, rough dates 6-8 April, can do other dates, just as long as they are weekend.

We'd like somewhere central, that isn't too expensive, we won't be in the hotel during the day anyway.

We'd like somewhere that has breakfast included in the price, but lunch/dinner, we'll probably go out to a restaurant.

We'd appreciate some recommendations, as we've never been before.

    Ramada encore or premier inn

Thanks, they look like nice hotel, the Premier Inn seems a little pricey though £183 for two nights, seems expensive, to me anyway.

Will have a look and see if it can be gotten cheaper.

I love the Europa and they can have really good deals. You are right in the middle of everything and lots of lovely place to eat right on your doorstep.

Thanks a million for this, will check it out.

Am getting prices for varying hotels for around €220 per night, is that normal? Or is it because I am looking too early, and maybe closer to the time they'll be a bit cheaper?

The Radisson in Gasworks quarter is very handy also.

Hotels seem to be Dearer in Belfast because there are fewer hotels so there is always demand.

There is a Jurys inn also in Belfast but it was expensive the last time I stayed in it and was basic enough.

You could try the Malone Lodge - nice area of Belfast, not too far from the city centre.

Try Discover Northern ireland. i booked Premier inn Alfred street, last year for 39e per night, room only, lovely hotel. enjoy your weekend.

My guess would be the reason they're a little more expensive than you hoped for is that its Easter weekend then.
I can +1 for Malone Lodge. Stayed there last year and was very nice! Even if the foyer furniture was quite old and tired looking!

I'd avoid the Travellodge which is about three hundred metres from the Europa
Ok, you don't expect great things from Travellodge but this is one of the worst in the chain and it's not even that cheap

So another vote for the Malone, great hotel in a great area.
It can be expensive but they are often good deals on. They have a mailing list on the website, sign up and they'll email them on.

As well as it being Easter, the World Irish Dancing Championships are on in Belfast that week, so hotel prices would be high.

Stayed in the Malone Lodge the other week - great staff and £3.50 in a taxi to downtown.

Nice area as well, good bar and food was nice. Big choice for breakfast

Ah that's why they are so expensive, I didn't realise there was anything on in Belfast that weekend and didn't realise it was Easter either.

Might go up at a later date so.

Thanks a million for all the suggestions guys, keep them coming :)

try looking on supervalugetawaybreaks.com - they often have Belfast hotels listed.
+1 for Premier Innn across from the Europa - stayed there, very handy, very central, very clean, very reasonable. Travellodge is beside it and it looked a bit grotty.

Aye I found two on there, Jurys Inn and the Park Inn.

The Park Inn looks to be a nicer area than the Jurys though.

Lovely little place called the Tara Lodge - well worth considering. Outstanding breakfast.

Another vote for the Radisson in the gasworks.
    Here's another option

Looks like a beautiful hotel, but the prices are astronomical, £315 per night for a double room, not even breakfast included.

Keep an eye on the promotions and offers page, it's only showing up as far as end of March but they have special rates for weekends at a fraction of normal rack rates.

I just checked lastminute.ie and they have the Radisson for just over €100 per night for the Friday and similar for the Saturday
