The 747 generally comes in any time between 10:30 and 13:00ish from my experience, takes off a couple of hours after landing. Still a great sight seeing it land / take-off, makes a change from the 320's and 737's :D

I was playing football out in Santry today. Saw a beast take off around 2:45. Was massive. It took an age to climb. Some machine

High probability of 747s in DUB now due to bad weather in UK.

Several of the Shannon diversions have already departed for LHR. The passengers at Dublin are to be out up in hotels overnight.

AFR6807, an Air France cargo 747, from Chicago to Dublin, en route to CDG, is scheduled to arrive at 0930 every Saturday morning. It's often late though.

Currently the only scheduled 747 to operate into Dublin.

said on flight radar it was coming from dublin?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,158 ✭✭✭EchoIndia

The Flightradar details are not derived from the current flight. All they show is that a given flight number was once in the past used on a given route - and even then the accuracy of that is down to what some contrbutor has added to a site database.

The AF Cargo 747 was in this morning. Nice surprise to unexpectedly see her parked at Pier B on a monday. She's not listed as having been in on saturday so i'm assuming a tech delay to the saturday flight somewhere along the line put it back until this morning.

The 777F is to big to operate out of Dub they use an A300-600F at present the 777F operate STN-MEM direct along with CDG-MEM direct these aircraft will eventually replace the MD11/MD10 on the long haul routes.
