As every day passes I lose a bit more respect for McQuaid.

    why such a paltry sum?

They just want to teach PK a lesson, such figures could not cover real damages if such were suffered.

McQuack and Hein may have made themselves the laughing stock of the Swiss legal system!??!

The UCI are begining to make FIFA look like angels in comparison!

Has Kimmage found a new job yet?

kimmage ruined my enjoyment of an Interview with Eamonn Coughlan last night on Setanta. Coughlan was going to talk about his trip to an Irish Priest in Kenya who coaches lots of the great Kenyan runners for the last 30 years..
How the kenyans train, their lifestyle and so forth.. What does Kimmage do? Straight away he is asking coughlan do blood testers visit the centre and then into the doping situation in athletics....

so Coughlan never got to speak about all the interesting things about the kenyans.. Just ended up with kimmage going on and on about doping.. he needs to get a grip and be a bit more balanced, hes a great writer but loses it when it comes to doping.

The Late Late Show really needs to get these 2 guys on (at the same time), now that would be entertainment :pac:

Interesting article but the Editor of Sticky should check basic facts before posting..

Paul Kimmage whist an excellent journalist did NOT win the William Hill Sports Book of the Year in recent weeks..

Ronald Reng won it for the tragic story of the German goalkeeper Robert Enke (That said Kimmage's book on Matt Hampson was an excellent, if very sad tale too)

The UCI case against Landis must be going well if he has time for another lawsuit.

And since he brings doping in to almost every interview/article...

Reading Kimmage is getting to be a bit of a chore. Like the Nico interview, Kimmage admits he (Kimmage) launches into a tirade about doping while doing the interview.

    To be fair to McQuaid:
While he is probably still in denial about the extent of the continuing problem of drugs in cycling, the sport has cleaned up way more under his term in the UCI than under the terms of any other president.
Does he not deserve some credit for that?
You have to be fair to the dude......

Fair point BUT they are 2 seperate awards. Thats the williamhill.com Irish sports book of the year as opposed to the William Hill one which was one for the Enke book...

Kimmage's book is a harrowing read to see how a young rugby player can have his life changed in the flash of a moment. Hampson has the most amazing outlook on life considering what happened to him..

Not too sure I would put dude and Pat McQuaid in the same sentence...:)

The strange thing is why they are targetting Kimmage...David Walsh made a lot more serious allegations in his recent Lance to Landis book

It's only a warning shot. They're only targeting Kimmage as it'd probably get more attention.

If he loses PK should just appeal to CAS, that way we'll all be dead and buried by the time it's sorted.......

Kimmage should employ Grey Manrod and Associates to defend this.
