March Break in Nice, France

My wife and I are hoping to travel over for 5 days in March, unsure how quiet it will be so unsure whetehr to just stay in Nice, or maybe in Villefranche or similar. Would anyone have any recommendations for Nice or surrounding area with regard to places to stay and to go at that time of year?
