Last day shooting

I had my last days shooting today, since I'm working during the week. I only met 2 hen pheasants, and heard a cock.
Even though I shot nothing, it was nice to get out for a few hours with the dog.

I finished the season with the hunt of a cock i hunted on the 22nd december. back then he gave the dog and me a great chase. I flushed him lovely today and he got up lovely nice shot, but i didnt fire...he lasted this long i will put 4 hens into the valley with him and a feeder.

went out this morning was home by half 12 met 2 cocks but not a chance of a shot a them was soaked to the bone me and the dogs:) pity and yesterday was such a lovely day, counting down days till next season all ready:D vermin bashing from now on and crop protecting

I was out today after the dinner with a another lad,we had a nice day out i must say.we got 1 pheasant 36 and 3/4,2 thumpers of mallards male and female,3 teals 2 males 1 female,1 wigeon,2 snipe male and jack,1 woodcock and a partridge. I'll get him to upload the pictures tomorrow.

Met 12 fine looking cock pheasants out deer stalking saturday. The weekend before last was our last day out for the season and we met a cock with 3 hens and another with 2 hens but we didnt bother going after them. They had great feeding this year with the lack of cold so hopefully next year numbers will be up

Myself and two mates were out yesterday morning. The first area we hunted we met nothing in. We headed to another area and while we were getting organised at the car I looked over the ditch and saw a cock pheasant, then another and then two more...I had to have a second look as I thought it could be wishful thinking, or a short-circuit from the seeping rain water
We went around the ditches of the field and I shot the first one and a mate shot a second. We were delighted to end the season with a nice pair in the bag and also knowing there was a few still around for next season.

Vermin control, dog training and working tests now for the summer. Hopefully a new pup as well

was out for couple of hours yesterday but nearly stayed in the bed as was dying for a late night, got home at 4.30!! but thank god i went out, got 3 lovely cocks, and missed another one, got two grey crows and 4 ferral pigeons, great mornings shooting in about 3 hours even if i did get soaked to the boll!x!!!!!!

well lads im back after short illness which prematurely ended my season just before the crimbo, :mad::( my tally up till then was 3mallard,1 teal,6 phezzies, 2 jetfighters (snipe) and at last my first woodcock:D:D then bang the back problem was back with vengence, followed up with stint in hospital with savage stomach pains, alas i didnt get to finsh out the season:mad: so i hope everyone had a good one, nxt season i will be back with a vengence for sure:D:D:D;)
