We plan to head away for a week or two in April with our son, who will be five months old. Any suggestions where we might go??

You need to give a bit more info than that!

What sort of holiday do you like, any no-no's, activities, budget?

Things you'll want to consider too is stuff like making sure that where you stay has what you need for the baby (somewhere to prep food/bottles, sterilise stuff), if the area is easy to get around with a buggy... Things you take for granted here.

For example, by the time our daughter was 9 months old we'd been to France, Germany and Italy. Germany was great, everywhere seemed to be pram-friendly, it was easy to get about and cafes/restaurants were happy to accommodate you.

France and Italy were a bit of a nightmare - In Nice, for example, only one platform in the main train station is accessible without having to carry the pram up or down stairs/escalators, and the locals won't budge out of your way on the stairs, so it's very stressful. Likewise, trying to find places with changing facilities can be a bit of an ordeal.
