Veet hair removal cream skin reaction

Hi all, I've used the Veet Hydro' Restor Hair Removal Cream in my inner thigh area and had a bad reaction. I'd not left in longer than the max 10 minutes and on the packaging it says that it's for use on legs, arms, underarms and bikini line. The skin in the inner thigh area is very itchy and black now, it looks like a burn - the pigmentation. :(:( I've used it before on my arms and legs with no problems at all - first time using on the inner thigh area :(:(

Has anyone here experienced this? Any recommendations on what to use to soothe the itchiness and reduce the pigmentation? Not looking for medical advice.

Usually after waxing I'd use aloe vera for soothing, but I'm not sure with a reaction like that =/ Might need to ask a doctor about that one.

I burnt my face (upper lip) with hair removal cream before - so painful and itchy. I just treated it like a burn/sunburn - lots of ice and aloe gel, and try not to scratch it (much easier said than done!). With me, It took the top layer of skin off so I was left with a very attractive patch for at least a week while it all healed. The one bit tip I can give is not to have super hot showers, it'll make it feel much worse - keep them as cold as you can bear and don't use strong soap!

If it doesn't feel better in a day or two, your best bet is to see a doctor - the last thing you want is a nasty infection.

if the skin is looking that bad maybe do go to the doctor? you don't want anything permanent!

I've used it on my thighs too, I didn't leave it on too long but it still gave me a burn of sorts, I hate the stuff

Eh, you should be. Go to the pharmacist or doctor
