Solar panel grant ?

    Apologies if posted already my Internet is chronic slow at moment !
    Really cOnsidering getting solar panels fitted in our house -dormer built in 2005
    Is there still a grant ? Can't seem to find info on it .

    Try here....I took a quick look and it seems like grant aid up to €800 could be available.

    Thanks for the speedy reply.
    I had thought I heard something in last budget along the lines of grant being reduced and instead payment would be taken out of future energy bill savings ? Or was I dreaming :)

    I had heard the same just before the last budget was announced in December but it doesn't seem to have been implemented.:confused: As far as I can see the Grants are available and open for applications but I think it is on a first come first served basis until the allocation runs out.

    I think you also have to get a BER done as part of the grant application process so this will be another cost but I think that the cost of this is part subsidised by the grant also.

    Pay as you save will come in probably towards the end of next year, the grants will be scrapped then if not before!!
