Audi a6 question

    Hi there
I have a 99 tdi a6 and the car is just great.

Went for a service yesterday and mechanic says it needs gators for driveshaft and 4 arms. The arms are 50 euro each and he says it will solidify the suspension as they are gone bad now

The car drives fine etc. I was wondering could I just get the gators done (he said that if I don't do them then grease will come out off drive shaft ), and do the arms next year if I decide to put it through the nct etc

The whole work will cost 600 he says cos I need two tires also.

Can I spilt this work or do you advise doing it now ? I know little about cars :-)

You can split up the work if you like, it your car.

Obviously you'd be doing the tyres straight away anyway.
I can't imagine why you'd leave something that you know to be worn for another full year. The bushes are there to make the car handle properly, not pass the NCT.;)

Did the gators bite off the arms? ;)

Putting €50 arms into these is a waste of time. Get good quality ones that will actually last.
