maintenance grant

    Hi I have just been awarded a maintenance grant by my vec, the letter never mentioned anything about student contribution which i paid myself in september, im wondering will i get this money back along with the grant or do I need to apply for it???

    your college should refund that money to you.

    Not usually. The VEC will pay the contribution fee to college, and then the college will send you a cheque of the money owed to you.
