Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Transferring to Geoscience field

    Dear all.

I have a degree and masters degree in Software Engineering, very general computer science, and I am hoping to change my career to something I am more interested in.

I'm looking at various fields in Natural Science at the moment and I am hoping that I could do some conversion course in some Geological/Geoscience related subject in order to get employment in this sector.

Would anyone have any advice or experience that may be relevant?

    Thank you.

You could maybe look into doing a GIS course? That would be something of a bridge.
