'Boro go one up with a brilliant volley! Sunderland defender made an arse of himself passing it to a 'Boro player to allow 'Boro to attack in the first place.

McClean playing well again. Every time I see him, he seems to have a decent game

So the sideline ref has called an offside? Roundabout way of getting the correct decision when it was a clear handball before the offside.

Yeah, i don't think the goal should stand, but it's been disallowed for the wrong reason!

That's a sore one for Wesley Brown but he's the hardest man in all the town so he should be alright...

I'm delighted the way James McClean is developing over there. The best thing that could have happened to him was Martin O' Neill getting that job. He's going to be a fantastic addition to the Irish squad!

ITV and ESPN praying for a draw here and in the next game, I reckon.

Otherwise they are stuck with SheffWed v Blackpool and Southampton v Millwall for their replay games.

Must say, I do like the commentary on ITV an awful lot.

Have to say I doubted McLean, the player I remember in the LOI was different but prob just my perception of him, but just that compusure when he got the ball off robsons mistake to break forward and then the pass was just a brief glimpse of his quality.

Drury and Tyldesley are way ahead of their BBC counterparts.

They emit a real sense of excitement that's for sure.

You obviously didn't watch him very much in the LOI so.

McClean could have won it there!

Apparently he pulls 8s all the time too.

Yeah he's so bad, no imagination or trickery just an engine who'll run all day. Fair play to him for making it as a prem footballer but he's dirt. No place in an Ireland team that has good depth in that position.

    Perception...Doubt

It's funny looking at Keane and Southgate in the same studio together. Southgate must still have Keane's stud prints still on his stomach!!
