Hi folks, I hope im in the right place, when I connect to boards.ie once i decide a thread to look at the page freezes,

this happened on my laptop so I decided to go onto the office computer, there are 2 of them and it did it on both, I completed a disc clean up and disk defrag,

I then connected to boards.ie and it now seems to be fine, this is on the office computer (I have not checked my laptop yet) something I did notice, the letter that comes up once you log into boards.ie seems to be in a different format (could just be my eyes) but I do think it is different,

has anyone else reported any problems or has anyone else had similar issues to mine,

what do you guys think it might be, it only happens when connecting to boards.ie, and if someone out there has had similar issues would they know how to correct it.

when starting up the office computer a message did come up saying, one of your disks need to be checked for consistency.

    Thank you in advance.

Still having problems on the laptop, I have gone on to a few different sites to see if the page would freeze but none of them did, it only seems to be boards.ie,

    very frustrating.

You could have a dying hard disk, if you are receiving CRC errors or anything like that, and yes a dying hard disk would cause web browsing to be slow due to cache being unable to be written.
I'd check the drive, also you could try clearing your browsers temporary internet files!

I looked at the OS thread for windows and got some information on software I can download which might help, but I think you might be correct about the dying hard disk,

thank you for taking the time to reply, once I run the software I will report back, just incase anyone else stumbles on to the same or similar problem.

I have found the site sluggish in the last few days. Both on iPad and iPhone it locks up while other sites are working. Usually fixes itself in about 30-60 secs

Well I downloaded CCleaner which I got from the OS thread, (thank you very much guys) I ran the programme and it did repair a lot of broken files,

but when I logged onto boards.ie it froze, so I decided to check 7 other sites I use and none of them froze, in fact I stayed on one of them for 3 hours and nothing happened, I then logged into boards.ie and it froze,

I am now on my laptop and everything seems to be fine, its all very odd, I did think it might of been my broadband, but then the other sites worked fine?

then as was pointed out 1 of my disks could be dying and its just having a good day, I guess time will tell,

thanks once again for the replies and help.

The only thing I could think of is one of boards.ie's advertisers is having issues on certain connections, this would slow down the page loading, its an odd one alrite
