    Hi,
Just wondering would it be a good idea for me to take folic acid in case I accidentally got pregnant? I don't plan on having a baby for at least 6-7 years but I am in a relationship and I know despite taking contraceptive measures sometimes pregnancies do occur. So I don't want to risk having a baby with spina bifida or some other thing because of a folic acid deficiency. Would it be bad to take supplements even if i didn't have a baby for years and years?

Nope! They recommend that any woman of childbearing age or who could potentially have a child should take folic acid!so supplement away
