Lamping time?

Hello all, just out of curiosity i was wondering what time ye go lamping at around this time of year? I noticed that the red lads don't be stirring out until late these times. Say around 10-11 o'clock? Is it the same for ye?

Well Erk they last few nights I been out I started off about 8.30 and get back about 12.30. Nice stroll of around three to four miles most nights.

Did you meet many itom? i went out once or twice around 8-9ish and callled but no joy even i know theres a few around too.. Met them there at 10 one night just went for a quick lamp..

This time of year we meet them in pairs after midnight.

Was out last night and I got four all before 11 and never seen or heard one after that.
I posted up the four I got last night.
The two together I got in the one field,shot the dog first and the vixen ran to the ditch and stayed there for a clear shot.

The later the better I say. Usually start round 12 and finish near 4am. You will rarely see foxes on there own this time of the year.;)

Mr fox a got 100 grain his way today just after he finished the deed. He should have found somewhere more private than the middle of a field

Nope She was meant to get a 20grain but we were spotted and there was a scurry to break free from each other and she was gone before I could get a shot off. Mr fox was much slower to take off with his tongue hanging out, out of breath, out of energy.. He had a happy last few minutes at least :pac:

times vary but usually they will appear around same time, usually 11pm is a good time for me.....If its enough then head on out

for the last few weeks im seein lots just when it gets dark!! a seasoned veteran that i hunt foxes wit maintains as soon as it gets dark and the following 5 hours is peak time!

10ish on wards is good. They be making love at this time of year.wasn't out lamping in ages.

We usually head out around 8.30 these nights, then stay going until around 3 or 4 depending on what time we're working the next day. On Saturday nights, we stay out all night and these are always the best nights. Foxes get very relaxed after 3 in the morning when things get very quiet. We often get foxes at this time that would run earlier on in the night
