We just got connected with Magnet broadband and our connection keeps dropping out all the time. We got on to tech support who are going to look into it further but at first glance it would appear it's a problem with the wiring inside the house.

The wiring is pretty old (we don't have a proper master plug. The cable comes in from outside and goes into a small brown capsule type thing that has two cables coming from it (one for each socket we have inside)

Here's what it looks like underneath (with cables spread out to make it easier to see)

Does the wiring look ok? could the interference be coming from there?

The black cable is the one from outside btw.

Also, the wire coming in from outside is just 2 copper wires by the looks of it, is that still the case with modern wiring?

Would getting the wiring done again be of any benefit?

We're getting a lot of noise on the line too so i took a log of the Dsl connection, what are these numbers like?

I'm no expert but they don't look too good.

    Thoughts and advice appreciated, thanks!
