    Promo

IMO it'd be better to seperate it from the promo thread as people might not want to see spoilers in there/have to add spoiler tags.

I thought it was very good, had almost everything - Comedy (Chuck shooting down the helicopter..), suspense (having to give up her memories for the bomb), throwbacks to the previous series (Irene Demova, [fighting in] The Weinerlicious, the beach & the flashbacks on it), the intersect (just not enough of it).

It was just missing a "Happy Ending" type of thing where Sarah had her memories back and they live the life they wanted, but that was probably due to having to show it in 1 hour slot. Maybe it'll be a DVD extra, or webisode.

The Key kinda broke some of the early story lines. How did the NSA intersect work w/o The Key? The only 'flaws' with that were those intentionally introduced - personality changes. It should have been an earlier story line.

The ending is one that shouldn't get a season 6 IMO, as it seemed like a well-wrapped up one, and it'd just end up like Scrubs (not as good, and won't last as long).

Subway placement was too in-your-face, IMO, but I guess it wouldn't have lasted this long without them.

That was some emotional roller coaster! great double episode, went out in form so happy with that. and my impression was that sarah was falling for him again on the beach and they would go on to the life they planned.

chucks dad made probably the most stable version of the intersect that was available, but even that had problems chuck needed that watch his dad made so it wouldnt fry his brain, chuck only handled it for so long cause his father designed it for himself therefore chuck was probably the most likely person that could handle the intersect for a deent amount of time, untill he eventually needed the watch to control the flashes,

that one in the DARPHA building was a CIA NSA built one, which they knew still wasnt stable enough to use in agents thus why noone else on the planet has had it installed, so they built the room so they could access the information when needed, and hopefully they could stabalise it for human use, so chuck was gonna erase it for good,

i really wish they just gave sarah back her memories, but even at that why did she insist on running off by herself, she obviously knows she loved chuck, so why was she so reluctant to be with him knowing that she was once so happy with him, i think that one aspect kinda brought it finale down a peg for me, there really was no need to do it, that and why didnt anyone tell her that quinn was a rough agent confused.gifconfused.gif

i think they tried do a sopranos on it, and i dont think it worked very well, you just know they get back together, it was just a stupid thing to try, and it kinda robs the audience of an even better ending

anyway overall an great ending to the show, it was just all kinds of awesome, jeffster were epic in the opera house, and chuck shooting down caseys helicopter with caseys own gun was brilliant, they really rolled it back to the start and you could really get the fun factor that has been missing fro soem time,

I presume that was a nod to Hackers with Jeff and Lester coordinating the nerds. Was a decent ending.

Was a good season, I think Casey was the best character this season, he got some great lines.

Sniffles..now its the wait til this forum is moved to "Finished TV Shows"..

had to stick on the pilot again afterwards...it's crazy to think how different things were in S1E1..how far we've come!

    :( sad face

I really wish we got normal Sarah back but that would be too lovely dovey perfect, everyone lives happily ever after....I guess it couldn't truly end any other way though.

    I thought it was epic...

Shed a few tears throughout the 2 episodes...
Was really great to see Jeffster play a part in saving the day... Those 2 definitely evolved this season...

I wasn't as happy with season 5 as I was with previous ones, not by a huge amount though. I can't deny my disappointment with the ending, despite the ray of optimism in the closing scene.
I still really enjoyed the episodes and how they tried to link back to series 1 with Sarah's action scene resembling Bryce's opening scene and the Irene Demova virus, it was funny as Chuck ever is and Jeffster's performance was without a doubt none less than their finest in the show ever seen. If I'm perfectly honest, what made the episode for me was Jeffster!

I have mixed feelings about how it all ended! I really hoped that Sarah's memory loss would be reversed and what I thought might happen was that the final episode would be a jump ahead a few years or something to show what they were doing now, or that a part of it would jump ahead once she had her memory back.

I need to go back and see the early shows again as I don't recall the virus they used but it was great to see Chuck back out in the Nerd Herder. It was great seeing everyone back one last time as well and it was an obvious pity I thought that Scot Bakula couldn't be there as his character was killed.

Jefster were FANTASTIC!!! It was so great that you could see that coming but you were waiting to see what they were going to do!

I was disappointed with Big Mike's appearance. He deserved more than to be turned into a Subway Shill. He was a great character. Incidentally, did I pick it up correctly that the BuyMore has been bought by SubWay, or have they just opened an outlet in there? With all that was going on, I didn't think Chuck had time to offload it.

It was quite sad seeing them all go their separate ways. I still really wish they hadn't sort of killed off the Chuck and Sarah thing, though i know they pushed it towards resolution but I felt the same way I did when I went to see Star Trek (the JJ Abrahams version where they altered the universe). You have so much invested in characters al along that a major change like that is a serious thing. It was the one low point of the episodes for me.

The flashbacks to S1 were nice. I remember thinking that the show was great but that if they could only get rid of that annoying waste of space Morgan, it'd be a whole lot better. How wrong was I and they sorted his character out in S2.

All in all, I think Chick will be one of the greats in years to come. It occured to me at the final credits that Chuck was a rare enough thing. I remember reading the show's premise and thinking 'Ugh, maybe, let's give it a chance' and then grabbing episode 1 shortly after it aired and being pretty instantly hooked. That hadn't happened in a while to me and it'll be a while again. Yes, there are great shows out there that I love but Chuck was great in that it could be serious and then very funny as well and it was just a great mix overall.

I used to be a huge House fan but I'm currently watching that show death spiral big time. At least Chuck went out on it's own terms and in a great way overall. I'd love to see a once-off special feature at some stage but with how it ended, I won't be sorry if that most likely doesn't happen either. It'll alway be a show I enjoy checking in with in the years to come!

This TWOP article pretty much exactly sums up my feelings about Chuck:

I'd read an article where they talked about a possible made-for-tv movie. Something like one or two a year. And in that way they could carry on with the story for the characters. So they could rejoin the story a year later with sarah's memory partially recoveded.

I have no idea if it will come to fruition. But it's a nice idea.

That would really be fantastic! Not sure really it it'll happen! If Zachary & Yvonne stay in television and don't become huge movie actors in the meantime then it might be a runner! It'd definitely be a real treat though. I'd definitely look forward to that!
