    Hi guys,

I have an ongoing saga with a fees grant which i applied for college last august, The new info the Vec want me to supply them with is a statement of rent allowance for 2010, despite the fact i never received anything of the such, i think next they'll ask me to prove my sex by dropping my trousers! Sorry but that is how ridiculous this feels at this stage. So my question to you good people is, would anybody be able to point me in the right direction as to where i could get a statement for this non payment? I've checked the social welfare website and cant seem to find the info i need? I'd prefer to have to not go and que up in some office for this at the expense of another day off college, as i've used up many on this already.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

if you are claiming a payment the hatch you deal with should be able to do you a letter. Even though Rent allowance is paid by the CWO, the hatch you deal with should be able to write down anything you were entitled to and received. Make sure they state that the letter covers from the 1-1-2010 to 1-1-2011.

We had to get so many letters it was a joke but we got there in the end.

    Thanks for your reply,

Are you certain of this? Do you mean where, if i was on the dole, the office where i'd sign on? I thought it had something to do with the hse?

Go to your Community Welfare Officer. They deal with that often in the first instance. He should be able to dictate something to over ride your current woe.
    Hope that is of assistance.

Just Google - Community Welfare Officer and town/city of residence.
