cut a roller blind to size

    i am thinking of buying some roller blinds in ikea, but i will need to chop a few inches of the side of them so as to make them fit my windows.
    anyone got any ideas as to how i cut them totally straight?

    As someone who used to work in the blinds industry, if you are not stuck for money I would strongly advise not going for the likes of Ikea or B&Q blinds.

    They may be cheap but they are of poor quality and the job of measuring, cutting and installing is arduous for the inexperienced.

    Also, the quality of these cheaper blinds leave a lot to be desired and are actually a false economy as they are not durable and will require replacement pretty soon.

    If you can afford to go to a professional blind shop and get the job done properly and decent quality blinds that are made to measure and professionally installed.
    Some great bargains to be had now as well if you go to the right store.
