Bear with me on this one. In short my dad bought a pretty decent fold up bike (dehon ion). Quite a nice sturdy little thing. Anyhow bought for health but I know he actually won't get out on it that much.

Anyone know if there's a decent trainer that might suit the bike, I'm pretty ignorant of how they work to be honest, but it seems most sit into the axle of standard road wheels? It clearly doesn't have to be all singing and dancing, purely for a bit of exercise when weather doesn't permit and needless to say something cost effective, maybe even 2nd hand. Thanks in advance.

The wheels are gonna be too small. Theres a lemond trainer thats expensive, it doesnt need a rear wheel to work, but youd have to raise the front wheel alot.
Rollers might be a solution, you can get a fork attachement to keep the bike steady. The smaller wheels will increade resistance tho
